Tieke Priestess
November 2006 - HB Mechanical Pencil and Photoshop CS
The second of a set of three designs for the tikedi religious leaders in my novel trilogy, The Prophecy of the Circle. Each one incorporates some piece of the anatomy of the tekk - the race they uneasily share the world with - into their traditional dress. There are reasons, but I'd rather explain them in the books where they belong.
This is a Tieke Temple Priestess, with the headfins and a baby tooth of a tekk used as a headdress, and various small bones and skin used in the design of a collar. If you look closely, there are also hints of wing ribs and membrane being used as a cape for her.
