Shut Up

This is a perfect example of how art can speak for emotions like nothing else is ever capable of. The character is completely random, but the torture method was directly based on how I was feeling about a situation that had cropped up and refused to go away for over a month, at the time. There wasn't a lot of thought in this one, but there was a ton of anger, frustration, and upset.

When I finished it, I was sure that it was going to get me a lot of strange looks from the public. It was my first truly violent piece, after all. On the contrary, it's been one of my most popular drawings, with the exception of a few pieces of fanart.

I suppose that fact alone speaks volumes on the society we live in.
